In this module, we’ll be covering a series of synthestration techniques. It will take two weeks to complete the module.

In the first week we’ll talk about how to use horns and low staccato strings, and how to build those instruments, based in multiple patches, for an epic cinematic sound.

We’ll talk about how to orchestrating percussion beds and we’ll see some step-by-step examples. Then we’ll describe some techniques for making sure that our mockup sounds tight and tempo-aligned throughout every section.

Finally we’ll address a common volume problem when sequencing brass and how to address it.

Next week we’ll be talking about blending choirs and percussion with the orchestral part, sequencing fast strings, the importance of the timpani, flexibility of measured tremolos and much more.
